What is Milling?
Asphalt Milling is an affordable alternative solution for asphalt pavement restoration and is commonly used as a cheaper alternative to complete demolition and repaving. Milling involves a large rotating drum that grinds up the asphalt surface anywhere from a couple of inches to a full depth removal to restore the pavement back to a specific grade and cross slope. By doing so, this creates an excellent base for a smooth-riding asphalt overlay.
The development of Milling is a relatively new process and has only been around since the mid-1970’s. The equipment used has significantly evolved and become one of the most reliable & affordable forms of pavement restoration for property owners.
